So, for the longest time, I'd get randomly dinged by reviewers for low "accuracy". I couldn't understand why- I had pictures of everything they'd use, in the places/positions they'd find it, and I had detailed descriptions for every part of the space, and I'd even walked some of the places I mentioned were close to be sure that my list of places within walking distance was reasonable (10 minutes or less). Then, in sheer frustration, I uploaded two last pictures- a floor plan of my space, and a picture of the building (it's keyed entry, so I'm not worried about unexpected guests). Suddenly, I have had no accuracy complaints- I think I'm on a streak of 10 five-star ratings right now. I was really surprised- why the heck do people need that much gory detail about my space? But it seems they like it! A picture of the building has also helped many people to navigate, given all the construction. So, if anyone else has been having trouble with this, apparently there's an easy solution!
Hi Mathew!
Thank you soooooo much for sharing the tip about the floor plan!
I've been experiencing the same issue!
I just can't understand the low rating on Accuracy - and man, we do go above and beyond in our customer service.
I'm going to give this a go.
BIG HUGS
I would not be very hapy to publish a floorplan of my own home.
Knowing the layout is very helpful to robbers.
You don't have to have one of entire home if you're only renting a room or two - just those areas that guests use. And I don't think having a plan will make one bit of difference to any thief - since they already have pix of inside - those are your main risk, ok?
Seems Jin already mentioned CubiCasa here, but things have gone forward, we are developing a totally new Floor Plan App. Check it out at [link removed]!
Hi Matthew
If you are looking for a simple way of getting a floor plan without having to learn CAD software please have a look at [link removed]. All we need is a sketch of your property and we will produce a 2D or 3D floor plan to suit your requirements and budget within 48 hours.
How "pretty" or precise do you think this has to be?
