So, for the longest time, I'd get randomly dinged by reviewers for low "accuracy". I couldn't understand why- I had pictures of everything they'd use, in the places/positions they'd find it, and I had detailed descriptions for every part of the space, and I'd even walked some of the places I mentioned were close to be sure that my list of places within walking distance was reasonable (10 minutes or less). Then, in sheer frustration, I uploaded two last pictures- a floor plan of my space, and a picture of the building (it's keyed entry, so I'm not worried about unexpected guests). Suddenly, I have had no accuracy complaints- I think I'm on a streak of 10 five-star ratings right now. I was really surprised- why the heck do people need that much gory detail about my space? But it seems they like it! A picture of the building has also helped many people to navigate, given all the construction. So, if anyone else has been having trouble with this, apparently there's an easy solution!
I've had a floorplan page on my own website for years now as i found that it gave folks a way to better understand how the space is organized, laid out and sized because while pix are great, it can't always explain the context. And it gives a way to document some places that don't photograph well.
Hi John,
Thanks for sharing the idea , im sure if it works for you then it will work for me no matter which city im hosting from.
Good luck and happy hosting!!!
Warm regards.
Amar 🙂
I've said this before, Airbnb should change the category to 'Accurate & Complete'. For whatever reason, the guests want to know EVERYTHING about the space and the neighborhood. Forget that you're accurate. They want it to be accurate, complete, and thorough.
Hello @Mathew0,
Thanks for sharing this, it is great to hear that this small change has made such a large improvement to your ratings. 🙂
Did you use a software to design your floorplan or how did you do this? You might be interested in sharing this on the Floorplan Software thread here in the CC.

@Shane4 Ditto!
Hi Shane,
Likewise, I have received some very low ratings on LOCATION and cannot for the life of me understand why????
My place is so ideally located that it couldn't get much better in my neighbourhood.
I really wish AirBNB had a field under each category that asks:
"WHY DID YOU RATE IT THIS WAY?"
I agree that accuracy and location are so subjective. I received 4* for accuracy for the last 2 reviews. Why? Because apparently my description doesn't do justice to the amount of space I actually have for guests! So they were happy - very happy - and pleasantly surprised. Perhaps a floor plan is the answer.
I also get 4* for location. I don't know what more I can say about my location. It isn't walking distance from the ferry, there are no services nearby (they are all in one commercial district for the whole island), it's mid-island, it's uphill, and bus service is limited so best to have a car. All of that is in the description. Yet, I can understand that when asked about location, naturally a guest would prefer walking distance and beach front!
I've also changed my pictures to essentially be a "tour" of my unit. The first picture is at the front door, and you click through to walk through the entire apartment. I'm hoping this helps as well. If a floor plan and 20+ pictures aren't enough for you to tell if you'll like the space, I'm not sure what will.
Hi @Mathew0
Have you tried with Floor plans ? Because guests can not visualise the space just by looking at the photos. They need an image that tells the structure of the space and it can be easily done with a simple floor plan.
Currently CubiCasa is offering free floor plans for Airbnb hosts 😄
Have a go at it and see how you like it.

Let me know what you think !
If only it worked 😞
I have a floorplan included in my photos which shows every single thing on my listing down to the placement of rugs and table lamps. Despite this, I still get the occasional <5 star on Accuracy and around 30% of guests give every indication of either not having viewed or, if they have, not understood the floorplan.
Hi @Louise0
Wow ! your floor plans are absolutely gorgeous ! I really liked the trees on the floor plans.
Did you make the floor plans by yourself? It is very detailed. But I see why some guests had a trouble understanding it.
Ever thought about simplifying your floor plans to give the most imortant information. Because it is hard to tell and show everything at once. I feel that somethings gotta just let go in order for other things to shine. I would get rid of the trees and just concentrate on the floor plan structure itself. 😄
I am surprised that some guests dont even scroll all the way to see the floor plans... If Airbnb had a special "House structure" feature to store the floor plans with their furniture icons would be so much easier for guests access to that information easily 😄
BTW Why don't you submit the floor plans you have there to cubi.casa/airbnb and see how it goes ?
😄
I laso find that giving the guest soon after the booking the house manual. location map and the floor plans, in addition to the pictures, aids the guest immensely. The house manual also helps them to prepare for their stay and think about what other requirements they might have.
Wow well at least you know it's appreciated.
I consistently get very high accuracy, and don't have a floor plan but do have pictures of the outside of the building. I think it does help, and I always recommend guest look back over the pics of the outside before arrival so they know what to look out for.
