Inquiry made at midnight, I answer at 9am

I question myself about the AVERAGE time it takes me to respond to guests.

I've got instant booking activated on my listing, but this traveller prefered to make an inquiry rather than booking straight away, which is completely fine except that he made the inquiry after I went to bed so i answered 9 hours later.

Does that affect the average time within which i respond ?

If yes, do you think that's fair ? And what do you do to get around it ?

If the guest had instant booked at midnight and i answer at 9am, is the average time still going up ?

@Lilian20  Hi there.  Good question.  I believe response rate to an inquiry has a 24 hour window in terms of your stats.  Is that your concern?  It makes sense as travelers inquire from all over the world and different time zones.   Instant Book is good for me if there is an eager traveler, but I have the strictest requirements.  So far so good with that.

I had the same thing with a few booking requests coming in after I'd gone to bed.

It changed my response time from within an hour to within a couple of hours.

It then would depend on if you prefer your rest or prefer to reply to any booking request as fast as possible to keep your average down.
