Lengthening a stay with different guest numbers

I have four guests coming to stay for three nights. After the booking was made, 2 guests wanted to stay on for another night. The sensible thing to do would be to be able to alter the reservation because they have not yet arrived. However, I cannot change the number of guests for different parts of their stay nor can I add onto the reservation if the guest count is not the same. Changes to the reservation are not very flexible. I should be able to break each reservation into days and make modifications.

 

In this case I used the resolution center to add a day to the reservation for 2 of the guests. It isn't very professional, and of course I had to manually change my calendar to add the extra day.

@Monica4  I agree.  At least you are an experienced host and could figure out a work around.  Many hosts would not be able to figure this out.  I am grateful for posting like yours that have helped me figure out situations that are new to me.  Thanks!
