Looking for a Tax Accountant in Philadelphia

Looking for a Tax Accountant in Philadelphia

hello,

Can anyone suggest a tax accountant in Philadelphia, PA who has experience with clients who are airbnb hosts?  This will be my first time filing as an airbnb host and I'd like to find an accountant / tax preparer who understands the shared economy and has specific experience.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use Joe Spina in the Fairmount neighborhood. If you contact him, tell him I sent you.

Hello Carrie,

My name is Leon and i am fairly new to Airbnb. After reading a bunch of forums and following the links provided by AirBnB, i saw your name in some of the responses and felt like you may be able to quicky clarify what i should expect to be taxed for as i begin to prepare my AirBnB earnings for this upcoming tax season? From my understanding, i am expected to report my earnings from 2017 since i hosted more than 14 days. Also, i dont have to worry about paying the occupancy tax (8.5%) since Airbnb now does that on our behalf at checkout. Any information would be extremely valuable. Also, do you still recommend Joe Spina in the fairmount area as an accountant to handle these issues?

I'm an accountant with a tax practice and a host.   was planning to do a mtg with other hosts and maybe the city to help us understand the policy.

anyone else interested?

I am interested. Can you share additional details?

Hello,

Unfortunately, i just saw your shared event. I was hoping you could share with us any key points discussed during that November event or any suggestions, given your background, that can help me as i begin to prepare this year's Airbnb earnings.

I'm interested in this, as well.

I'd like to make an appt to see you about ammending my 2016 returns.  I used Credit Karma instead of Turbo Tax this year, and feel like I didn't do a good job.   I should just go to an acct.

Thanks,
