I have a villa that's next to the road. In my listing, in several sections, I say plainly that the villa is next to the road and that there will be traffic noise. I even put it in the guest requirements that they realize the villa is next to the road.
But that doesn't stop some guests from marking down the rating because the villa is next to the road and that there is traffic noise.
I cannot figure how to fix this issue and need ideas.
@Andrew447. Oh your reponse to Jonathan was such a missed opportunity! I fear that you responded to both the public review and private note instead of just the public review. I think you also responded while angry. I would have used a different strategy. I would have embraced his comments about the road, reinforcing your narrative. Since many guests read the reviews more thoroughly than the listing narrative, you could have ensured that more "lookers" understood that the road is right there.
Otherwise, I would somehow include a photo that directly shows just how close the road is to the house.
His was not the only one. There are couple of reviews marked down for the same reason. A photo showing the road is a good idea. Don't think it will help with the reviews but at least it won't hurt. Thanks!
