Friends of mine have recently gone through a divorse and the wife was running the airbnb account on their joint property. How do we migrate that listing to a new host account without loosing all the valuble reviews captured over the passed 4 years? Keeping in mind that this property is not in a tourist area and therefore cannot afford to start a new listing.
@Shelly-Ann1 Unfortunately this is not possible.Your friend will have to start from zero.Bare in mind that new listings always appear at the top of the search list so it is highly likely that your friend will get new bookings very soon after resetting everything. One advice i can give your friend is to drop the pricing in order to get bookings and then after hosting a few guests he or she can raise the price according to demand.
Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.
Yeah Shelly-Ann, Oomesh has summed it up, it is not the property that gains the reviews it is the host and past reviews stay with the host.
What will happen, If a host relinquishes an interest in a property for one reason or another and choosed to start again with another property, this is what will be displayed on the hosts page.
So, the same reviews cannot be displayed for two different hosts....I am afraid you have to start at the beginning....like we all did!
Cheers......Rob
