Overall rating not correct -- how do I get it fixed?

Hi there,

When I check the ratings section of my airbnb page, it's saying that my Overall Rating is 4.8 ... but when I check the Basic Requirements/Progress section, it's saying that my overall rating is a 4.6.  This discrepancy has caused me to lose my superhost status which I've had since I started on here.

My questions are... why don't these sections match up? And how can I get Airbnb to review and correct this, not matter which one is actually correct?

It's very frustrating, especially if I'm getting penalized for an incorrect algorithm.

Any help is appreciated on this topic. Thanks!

@Jennifer153  One score is for your reviews since you began. The SuperHost score is only for a year period for reviews to count. So this is where the difference in scores comes from. So if you add all the reviews since October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 you will find that your average was in fact 4.6 for that time period.

Ah, got it. This is helpful to know. Thank you.

My rating is 4.6 after six months on airbnb and 9 reviews. I've done the math several times and it should be 4.9 (all 5 star ratings and one slightly lower), and I should be a superhost. Is there a way to point this out to any of the people at airbnb?

Hi @Kerry175 🙂

The overall rating is not a product of all the sub categories but a rating on its own.

Best, Sandra

@Kerry175 Another thing is you must have at least 10 bookings before you can become a superhost. You can read about the superhost requirements under your "stats". 🙂
