Payment

Payment

We have just accepted our first booking for our property.  Can anyone please advise if guests still have to pay when booking, and does Air bnb advise hosts if money has been received?  We have received no confirmation email from Anr bnb stating account has been paid and therefore have no idea if our guests are really intent on coming. I have been reading in community centre about hosts not being paid, is this now an issue?  Is this just a few accounts slipping thru the cracks, or is their system failing?? Thanks

You need to read the Help Center to help you get up to speed on how Airbnb works.

Also use the Toolkits:

And, NO, the system is not failing.  Many of the "I'm not getting paid" issues have to do with bank transfers and how hosts have chosen to be paid. Since we're all just hosts here, there is little insight as to what the overall issues are - Airbnb doesn't follow up with these questions.

Good luck!

Thanks Alice and Jeff.  There is a whole new world opening up to me and a huge learning curve as well.  Thanks for all the info.  It helped tremendously. Cheers Sue

@Sue-And-Darryl0ABB has been great with payments so nothing wrong with system. In fact we usually get a notification the day guests check in that $$ will be deposited. You do not get paid until guests have stayed at your place NOT when reservation is made.

Thanks Martin.  This has been a huge learning curve.  Thanks for your help 🙂
