Payments through IBAN - is there a fee ?

Hi,

I see some significant differences between the amount that was issued to my account by airbnb, and the actual amount that was recieved in the bank.

it moves between 5%-15%, this is huge money...

My account  is in israeli-shekels and airbnb issues the payments in $

Anyone has an idea about the reason for this and can suggest a cheaper way to recieve money ?

The only way I know around this I think is if you can open a bank account in Israel.
