Hi Felipe & Danny,
Me too added a new payout couple of months back and it took some time as I could remember but was around 5 days and was successful. I do not know 100% accurate info, but I can give you a outline of what happens. The process is like this - when you create a payment method with your bank credentials AirBNB or the internet payment gateway provider either contacts your bank via an automated or a manual (more time) method and confirms that your account number and account name exists and is correct. Or, they send you a $1 or something test amount which is then reversed if successful (which usually does not appear in your bank statement's transactions). However depending on the corporation of your bank and the speed and method of communication this may take longer. You may need to double check your information typed in at the payout method because I'm not sure if "pending" -> appears "failed" when fails, or if it remains stucked in the pending state (but I guess now it's not the time to do it since it may reset your saved information on the said payout method). Sometimes these automated systems get stuck if they can't verify the main inputs. I got my credit card failed to verify once in a totally unrelated scenario such as if you give the computer form your account name as DANNY FELIPE and actual account name in your bank is D FELIPE then sometimes errors will occur. This applies to capitalization of letters spaces punctuations and phone number formats and address formats - I don't know if it applies here. Sometimes when automatic methods fail they fallback to manual methods which will take more additional time, which are banking days and banking hours. Best way is to wait some more time, (because if it has actually succeeded and on the way then it's in final stages now) and upon failing cancel and recreate the payment method with careful correct info and upon failing contact AirBNB and get help or a reference code (if they have) and get back to your bank customer care and give them the reference code ask them to track.
Good luck!
Charindu.
