Private Room vs. Entire Home/Apt

Private Room vs. Entire Home/Apt

If my listing has everything (with the exception of sharing a kitchen), including it's own entrance, laundry, fridge, etc. would it be better suited as "Private room" or "Entire home/apt"?

Thanks!

If you can phycially separate your living space from the rented place, then yes, call it entire appartment. If the guests or you are still able to walk back and forth, then call it shared room.

There is also no need for a kitchen even if you are renting an entire place. Hotel rooms often don't even have a mini fridge or microwave, but you still get the entire place.

Thank you. Yes there is a locking door that separates the upstairs from the downstairs and they enter through a separate basement entrance. The reason I asked is because numerous guests have commented that because of the space they have private access to they felt it would be better suited as "Entire apt".

Hi @Melissa-and-Adam0,

If you're sharing a kitchen and have the opportunity (albeit rare) to cross paths with your Guests your listing should be considered a 'Private Room'.

'Entire Apartment' assumes a key handover and access to all areas independently of interaction with the Host.

Cheers,

Paul

It is a private room if you are sharing any space with guests.
