Problem with guests

I have a guest who has been trying to book my space for the last four days and can't seem to manage it.  We've gone back and forth trying different options.  She's trying to pay with American Express but it doesn't seem to work.  Does anyone know if Amex isn't accepted?

 

None of the answers in the help section pertain to this particular problem. 

 

Is there a way to actually speak to someone at airbnb?

Your guest needs to contact Airbnb, you're not going to be able to help them.

There is indeed a way to contact Airbnb; if you can't find the number by using the search function in the community centre, then simply using google will work. But better your guest does it since they're probably in a different country from you...

No idea why they think this is your problem to solve ... or indeed why you're taking it on ... 🙂

Host burn out is real... and it starts by trying to solve things by people that they should be solving for themselves.

You can not micro manage the issue, guest needs to contact ABB.

A quick search found that AMEX is, indeed, an accepted method of payment.  You should refer your guest to contact Airbnb to see why they are unable to book their reservation.

I know how this feels. And you aren't even able to type the Airbnb Customer Service number for your guest's country into the message app due to the algorithmics. Frustrating when you really want to assist and want that booking, right?! And don't tell them to Google it either, coz that gets blocked. I simply tell them to use their search engine of choice to locate their nearest Airbnb contact, which generally works. Happy payouts!
