Reservation cancelation

After making an instant booking, the guest requested the ability to have 4 visitors to spend the majority of the day and several hours in the evening with them.  The request came immediately after the reservation despite house rules that clearly prohibits additional guests and visitors.  A cancellation was requested by the guest and I agreed.  The dates have been automatically blocked as if it were my mistake or that it was my cancellation requested.  How do I make these dates available?  Why am I at risk for negative actions? Airbnb can be frustrating at times.

@Ed-and-Susan0  You could have cancelled the IB reservation with no penalty, but it appears you accepted the guest cancellation which is the same as host cancellation.  A bit twisted, but the system reacts automatically with no human intervention.  Call Air BNB to speak with a rep to reverse host penalties.  855 424 7262.  Call early in the morning when the call volume is low.
