Reviews / Star Ratings

I have been hosting for about 1 year. We have received 25 reviews, averaging, until now about 4.6-4.7, just under the "superhost" mark. Today someone left a 1-star review and the comment, "not what I expected." They did not even spend the night. Husband picked up key at 8:30 pm, then returned later with wife. Left key and sent message, "we decided to drive home. Thanks for your hospitality." Then a 1-star overall rating. Categories star ratings were all 5 star except "accuracy." I believe our listing is accurately described. Is there a way to appeal this to AirBnB. Will they consider removing it?

@Edward216, let me guess. Guests didn't read the listing properly and then found out it wasn't suitable for them after they arrived. You can try, but good luck having the review removed - unless it's defamatory, Airbnb won't take it down. It's unfair I know, but it happens all the time. These people probably don't even realise the damage they do by giving you 1 star - I would probably message them and let them know and ask them for honest feedback about why they gave you a 1 for accuracy.
