Can Airbnb please clarify review process? How come we are asked to review guests (which I am fine with) and yet for some reason are we are not seeing reviews of us as hosts any more? I thought 'both' parties had to review each other before results are published? Please clarify?
@Cally1, if only one party has reviewed after the 14 days then that will be published, it doesn't need both to review for the review to appear.
Thanks Victoria, that’s a shame. We’ve always had feedback in the past and found it really valuable…
I agree that there needs to be more skin in the game for guests who don't review. Most do, but I feel burned when I give them a good review and get nothing in return.
I've heard from other hosts who have more international travellers that 14 days isn't enough time for guests to review because they're still traveling, which I understand.
As a host, I'd like to know as part of the guest profile if they have had stays where they haven't left review...or been reviewed.
Sometimes when things go south, that ends up in nobody reviewing each other. Guests can see how many stays we've had and they can see our reviews.
Especially with the rise of Instabook, I'd like to see when guests have stays that they haven't done reviews for or haven't been reviewed. That could be an indication of something awry. Or that they are unlikely to review me. It could be a differentiator between which guests I let sleep in my bed.
