Room charge the same each day but income varies.

Does anyone know why I get varying income per night when my charge stays the same? I always have £40 as my charge, no extras, just £40. Then I get anything from £37.00 to £39.00 as payment into my account. I cannot find any reason - does anyone out there know why??

Hi Gillian,

This also happens to me and I can't seem to figure it out either.  As I'm relatively new to Airbnb hosting, I assume it may be a glitch in the system, but hopefully we can get an answer!

Cheers

Hi Gillian,

I'm pretty new to hosting too, but I think the likely explanation is about exchange rates ... I notice the cost for my listing (which is in Canadian dollars) sometimes comes up as the $125 I have it set to, sometimes a dollar or two more or less.  Because of the Airbnb service fee to hosts (which is 3%) then you will *always* get less than your £40 nightly rate.

yeah, that must be the reason as it's only ever a couple of £ different and sometimes even favourable
