SEcurity deposits

HI there  How much is reasonable for a security deposit?  Mainly worrying about lost keys/ remote/ parking permit.  Value is around 200GBP plus tons of inconvenience?

Also, how about cleaning feess?

(Talking about a 2 bedrooms self-contained apartment, max 5 guests)

@Liz149  Both your listings are quite lovely!  Looks like your security deposit is just twice the nightly rate.  As Air BNB does not collect the security deposit unless there is a claim, the guest doesn't have to worry about problems in getting the deposit back if the space is left in good condition.  I think a higher SD is warranted when the space is an entire apartment and you are not there to monitor or intervene if necessary.  As you probably know, even the best guest can have an accident beyond the issues you listed.

Also, I think your cleaning fee is fairly low, but you could look at other competitors (entire apt not private room) to see what seems to be the norm.
