Why is the payout figure different than the Total paid figure? Which do I declare on my taxes?
Note: I'm not referring to Gross payments versus Total Paid. The numbers are different on the Total Paid page for 2016 than the "Payout."

you have two listing, maybe that difference is the Total of the 2 respect the total of the single one. depends which one you selected ... maybe.

I have only one listing, so I don't see any differences in my page, the only differences is between gross pay (with the Airbnb fees) and payout (without Airbnb fees).

I checked again and I can't find what you talking about. 
in completed transaction I can see only "Paid out" : XXXXX that is the total of the year JAN till DEC 2016.

can you be more specific, in which page you see this differences?

Okay. Let me be more specific.

On one page: "Earnings Summary Page" has "Gross Earnings" and "Total Paid" at the bottom of the page.

On the other page: "Completed Transactions" it has the total "Paid Out".

The "Total Paid" on the first page is different than the "Paid Out" on the 2nd page. It's $154 difference. They BOTH reflect BOTH rooms, so it sin't showing just one of my rooms.

I'm sorry but I can't find it. I hope that some one else could help you.

the only page where I can see a Total of my earnings, is in: Account -> "Transaction History" - > "Completed Transactions" -> Paid Out: XXXXXX

in all other pages, bottom or top page, there's nothing,  just the single transaction "future" or "gross" with the amount of each one, no total, nothing.

anyway you take the PAID OUT from "Completed transactions" and declare that at your Tax agent. 

If you would like to have any more specific informations about that differences, you should call Airbnb.

I'm well aware of this page and the other page. They are different.

The one you sent me has completed transactions with the amount $154 less than the page "Earnings Summary."

So, it really doesn't help me.

I suppose I'll have to get in touch with Airbnb directly.

maybe in California the website is different respect Australia.
