Verification pending is stopping another booking?

Hi so on my calender I have dates that are blocked for guest pending verification but some else is trying to book and for longer - I'd prefer to accept this second booking but I'm not given the option - it says the dates are blocked because of the person who's ID is still being verified. I don't have instant book anyways so seems strange I can't just accept the second (and longer) enquiry.

Unfortunately you will have to wait until the "pending verification" times out.  That is how the system works.  Perhaps you could explain and the new guest might be willing to wait until tomorrow before looking elsewhere.

I think it's 24 hours and its highly annoying that AirBnB goes against its on policy but letting unverified guests book properties where it  says 'verified guests only. It''s a revenue stream for them and you are caught at the wrong end of that unfortunately.
