Weird Guest Behaviour

 

I gave a guest that is struggling with completing his booking and still without a booking adamant to move into my apartment. He has insisted that I take their luggage a day prior to their moving, but there is NO BOOKING and he blames the app for not being able to make a booking. can anyone please assist with this as a pressing matter. I don't want to have them move in without a booking.

You don't have a booking confirmation from AirBnb?

Don't let this guy into your appartement.

Don't make the same mistake I did.  Do not let any guests into your apartment until confirmed.  In my case the guests located my property just off the airbnb listing info not a confirmation and full address supplied.  They arrived claiming to have paid.  I did check and under pressure thought I saw a confirmation.  When I realised I'd made a mistake things started to go badly wrong.  I've written quit abit about this in the community which seems to help relieve the trauma I suffered.  I will always thoroughly check for confirmation in my dashboard before letting anybody into my home again.  Regards Janice.

If the booking has not been completed, then I would just decline the inquiry and have no further communications with this person.

It's a scam...its not a genuine booking

There is a reason that he can't or does not want to go through air bnb's booking site.

I would definitely not let him in my home.   

I rely on the verified id through the site.

Do not let anyone in to your home without a confirmed booking through the Airbnb site. I wouldn't let this guest even book as they are clearly demanding and unreasonable. Why would you take anyone's luggage a day early anyway? DECLINE!

I havew a booking forf tomorrow, saying that it is for a fashion photoshooting, now I hear itr is " just for fun "

wgatever that means, and the guest changed her name. I have a bad feeling and would like to cancel. But will therebe consequences for me

You must contact airbnb and let them assist you with cancelling penalty free on the account that you are not at all comfortable with this guest. Use a direct message on twitter stating the booking number and the very valid reasons why you are uncomfortable with this booking.

While waiting for a reply on twitter, look up the airbnb phone number.

A photo shoot often equals shooting porn.

Yes. All numbers are listed in the CONTACT AIRBNB post towards the top of the Help forum.

 

If someone wants to do a commercial photo shoot they should book and pay for a venue that will accommodate this.

 

I agree with @Marit-Anne0 speak to Airbnb and ask them to cancel.
