What to do with a non request to book.

The request was to find another family member not to book. What should be done in this situation?

I would politely tell them that this was not the medium for finding people.  It was to be used for correspondence that deals with booking only.

HOW to deal with this sort of "booking"?  It is the second time I have had a booking which isn't really a booking. I declined and wonder if it will change my host status???

I have recently received a reservation inquiry which was actually one of the fellow local hosts offering her services to run other people's listings against a fee. 

Nope. This is not what Airbnb is meant to be. I reported this to Airbnb and asked them to contact the host, and explain to her that Airbnb is not an expense free advertising platform. They confirmed that they would warn her. 

Now, I am all for promoting your business. I am also very much supportive of other hosts who are offering their Airbnb related services. A great idea! So, you place a classified, or advertise in a manner that you find fit, without spamming for free via Airbnb messenger.
