Hello. I had a confirmed reservation, but the guest contacted me afterwards informing that he wont be able to travel in those dates. After waiting for a while and as he did not cancel in airbnb, I canceled the reservation from my side in order to have those dates available again. Unfortunately I did not realize that the cancelation from my side as a host will be blocking those dates instead of making them available again. Can someone tell me how I can resolve that issue? I do have the written message (proof) from the guest informing me about his cancelation. Thanks
This is why it is important for hosts to be intimately acquainted with all the in's and out's of hosting. Do youself a favor and take some time to read all the hosting policies, penalties, and information. In addition to your dates being blocked, you will also be penalized monetarily.
