hi,
i have a woman wanting to book my 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house for herself and her 3 teenagers plus 2 of their friends. the idea of 5 teenagers and 1 adult does not feel good to me. our home is sophisticated and while not precious, not right for teenagers.
how can i turn this booking away gracefully.
thanks for any suggestions
karen
Just click 'decline' and say that your place is not suitable for a large group of teens because of your sophisticated and expensive furniture.
You can say you are "not comfortable with this guest group consisting mostly of teenagers because they do not seem like a good fit for your listing and what you provide" You could also add you are not comfortable having underage guests who are not accompanied by their parent or legal guardian - and maybe even add that this is an insurance concern.
You can either decline if it's a booking request, or if it's an IB you can contact ABB and have this "cancelled with no penalty".
I quite like an equal ratio of kids to adults. Maybe teens could be two to one, but 5 to 1 is a little unbalanced.
Maybe she is booking it for the kids and she has no intention of being with them
thank you all for your responses. it is good to get confirmation from the community on my concern.
@Karen279 The "not a good fit" selection would be appropriate here as well. Perhaps there's a listing that's more suitable for this group (i.e. a seasoned home used to young families and/or groups of adolescents).
