notifications but no message

I always see a notification that I have a message, but I've responded to all my messages and alerts.  I can't make it go away.  Sometimes if I click open/closed enough old messages, it will go away, but I always get another one or two that are not associated with any new alerts or messages.  I am very busy in the Summer and stay on top of all my communication, so this is really annoying.  Please advise.

If you are using the phone app, press down on the photo of the guest and it will allow you to archive the message.  I hope that will work for you.
