I've been a host since 2012 and just had the worst experience with airbnb represenative Phil T.
someone booked our 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people. 5 people showed up and the person who booked was not present. they offered us extra money we offered them another room for $35 a night.... we went back and forth but they cancelled the reservation.
Phil listened to both sides and released the money to me.
3 weeks later phil calls and says I now have to give the money back. the (guest who did not show and admits in airbnb email that he often books for other people) send a picture of a dead mouse. the floor is gray (hardwood floor) ours is brown vinyle and really you can only see the mouse....
we did rent the apartment for 1 of the nights so I agreed to return $80 many calls and emails later phil T says they are taking $165 out of my account. so I ask why the guest can lie but there is no support of me as a host with 12 listings.... we both make money on airbnb..... not until I started to cancle the 4 currernt guests did he agree on taking the $80
when I asked who his supervisor was he hung up on me.
I use to feel like the airbnb customer service was there for us as hosts. is this their new policys? I've heard from other hosts having some of the same issues with airbnb. I;ve always had good experiences with airbnb service. Phil was horrible.
anyone else haveing issues? who can I complain to about Phil not giving me a contact for a supervisor?
