I am trying to get the super host rating. All the things that are in my power are always 5 stars. I greet my guests, give them some refreshments, give them tips about the location and the town. The apartment is always super clean and the photos are not misleading. My apartment description is accurate and clear. Now, my apartment is not in the center. But this is clearly stated in the description. You need to use the public transportation to get to the center as i mentioned in my description. I get bad ratings for location and i think the guests are not informed what they are rating. The rating for location should be based on whether the location was accurately described and is as advertised. This is why center located apartments are 100 euros per night and mine is 40 euros. Its unfair and frustrating in my opinion. What do you think?
I too usually get 5 stars but have a couple of reviews where I was given less for location. There is not much we can do about that but it does seem unfair as I state we are in a village and the amenities etc. It is well known that not all guests read the full description. You are never going to please everyone.

When I am in correspondence with my guests before a booking is confirmed, I check they understand my location (I am in an innercity area).
Confirm with your guests that you are outside the centre (and how they reach it by public transport) and hence your highly discounted rate before you confirm the booking with them.
In this way they are then really clear (often they don't read listings) about where you are based.
