A guest tried to make a reservation at my place, and she seems to have some difficulties, so I gave her my phone number to help with the process. The reservation was on the 25 - 27th. Today, the 29th, I just realized the reservation was canceled by airbnb, because they think it was illegitimate. I complained by email, because airbnb never explained what made the transaction illegitimate.
I contacted the guest, but she said she never got the email of cancelation from airbnb. I contacted her because, if airbnb won't honor the reservation, I would have to ask her to compensate me by other means. Just because airbnb canceled the reservation, doesn't mean the transaction did not happen. It did happen, and I was nit compensated for the service. In fact, the whole thing is a loss for me since I had to clean up after she left.
She claims that she couldn't even login to her account. I'm unable to confirm whether her claims are the truth. I have the chat if anybody needs proof of the conversation I had with the guest.
