Booking filters

Booking filters

It would be extremely helpful if Airbnb offered as one of their filters when looking for a rental: "Private outdoor space". Or maybe there is and I'm just missing it?

Thanks for the suggestion Rebecca, I just left a message with their Help Center.

@Larry698

Hosts and Guests have been asking for a lot more search filters for years...to no avail.

You can search for BBQ Grill in the filters, as most will be in an outdoor space, but no guarantee it will be "private". You'll have to read the listing description or message the Host if need more information:

Thanks for the suggestion Joan - it's a pretty good  work-around. Although it wouldn't identify homes that may have a great outdoor space, but don't offer a grill, it's definitely worth a try.

Hello @Larry698

💯% behind you on this! I've been providing Feedback on this very issue for years now and don't understand why there are so few filters provided to guests to find their perfect get away.  It would create for a much better guest experience and would be a win-win for all concerned.

Currently the only way we as hosts can show guests that we have an outside space (garden, balcony, terrace etc) is to have it as our cover photo but that's far from ideal and still means that guests have to plough through endless listings to find a property providing such a great amenity but it is what it is unfortunately

@Joan2709 suggestion is a possibility but it certainly wouldn't work for my listing as I offer a balcony in a town where BBQ's are prohibited!

Hey ho! I live in hope that one day someone will have a brainstorm at HO and decide that expanding the list of possible amenities in a search would be a great idea to enhance guest satisfaction🙏

Thanks for your solidarity Joelle. Hope someone at HO is actually reading these community posts occasionally. More filters... no brainer.

Cheers
