COVID 19 Compensation

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone else have the issue that Airbnb have sent them the compensation in US dollars rather than in their local currency ((Great British Pounds) which the bookings were in) - with no visible exchange rate?  So I'm losing quite a lot of the 25% (which I'm not entirely sure they're giving me all of anyway).

Agreed, it’s very frustrating and they should have been ore transparent on this front. 
also do note that’s 25% of the cancellation fee which you would have normally collected at time of cancellation, at most ~12.5%. 
Personally, was surprised to even receive a payout!

@Kim1097 Lets just hope they convert it back into £ before they send it or my bank will get very confused.  If they use the same exchange rate to convert to and from $ we should get the right amount.

@Yadira22 one of my cancellations actually paid out at 25% as it was a mid-March booking

Our emails have been updated with the local currency going forward. An update has been made to your host dashboard, making it easier to understand your cancellations better. To view, visit your Reservations page.

I got two payments this week both for the same amount of days, but one quite a bit lower than the other, both in USD. @Stephanie

Are the amounts different to what you were shown in your dashboard and the accompanying email? Or were these normal payouts rather than the refund payouts?

It was a refunded payment under the 25% scheme. I didn't get any prior notifications about the amounts. @Stephanie
