Change in minimum settings and unable to modify due to current booking?

I have had a frustrating conversation with Airbnb and am wondering if anyone else has had similar issues. 

I went to modify the minimum nights stay for a few days in April. The system did not allow me to make any changes. Originally I had my listing set for a 5 night minimum stay - what was posted was a 28 day minimum. When I went to modify this - the message error stated that I was not all allowed to do short term stays. It is not an issue with my city or licensing as I checked with them. 

I phoned Airbnb to remedy this situation. They had no answer as to why this change occurred. They said that I could not make any changes to my settings because I have a current stay happening now. What?! I can make changes to future reservations while I have a guest staying - I have never heard of this. 

Are these two issues common with others. 

1. Airbnb changed my stay length without informing me?

2. I am unable to make any changes to my listing or future reservations while I have a current guest?

Any insights would be welcome - I am following up with another level of Airbnb.

As you mentioned that you were already in touch with Support channels regarding this, were you able to get through this issue? Would you like to add some tips for others?
