Did not rate my first host
So I did not know how to use air bnb the first time we booked our very first stay. I wanted to say the stay was amazing and the host was great . Although do to our travel home and back to work life we never rated our stay. Our fault to be honest. Never knew that would come back to haunt us as we continue to be rejected for not having enough positive reviews. I get as a homeowner/ landlord our properties are big deal and we entrust them to our guest. I wish there was a way we could at least revisit an old stay. Just saying we don’t travel very often but now our 1st choice if we must stay away from home is Airbnb. We did book our 2nd stay and it was great 👍

@Victoria2290. Hi Victoria, as a host I do find host reviews of guests handy but I also rely on how you communicate with me, both via initial messages and then in your subsequent responses to my messages as I dont Instant Book so its all up to me to approve or not.
I also have not really had much opportunity to travel as I'm just too busy and saving that time up for in a few years. In the meantime my only Airbnb stay was accepted I suspect mostly on the basis of my guest reviews of me.
You can always try and send a thank you message to that first host, saying you really did enjoy your stay and sorry you didnt review them at the time.
So pay it forward and keep up the communication. You will find a willing host.

Hi @Victoria2290 😊,
I am truly sorry to hear about this situation. It can definitely happen to forget a review, but I’m sure things will improve soon.
@Frances3408 shared a great approach based on her experience. What do you think about her suggestion to contact the host?
Let us know your thoughts on this!
Warm regards 🌻,
