Retained Superhost for consecutive quarter today after hosting for 6 months and 153 stays over my 8 listings.
Yesterday a guest in try to get a full refund while he had some emergency and needed to leave decided to provided Airbnb with an edited image of our room with a mold and Airbnb decided without even verifying the same with me and charged me a cancellation fee over that for 100 dollar which is a big amount here for us in India as we only charge around 12 bucks for a room.
Airbnb support didnt feel like checking my reviews for the same listing from guests who had stayed just a night before this purticular guest and didn't feel the need to talk to me. So I decided to quit Airbnb, removed all my listings and texted all the active reservations that we won't be hosting them.
Till today Airbnb neither has looked into this matter to atleast help customers with cancellation and alternative arrangements nor they have even texted me once for why a superhost de listed his all 8 listings from the platform.

@Branka-and-Silvia0 same experience , I've been super host for a long period of time its just because of only one guest, triggered because i requested a damage fee and cleaning fee, she has tons of issue from day one and her favorite is leakage problem 😅,keep spreading cigarette butts and her pet wasn't disclose before she move in and left unbearable smell, and reported cctv right after she extended twice and having housemate which is at the first place she knew its a shared unit. i have to book from cleaning agency to have deep cleaning and sanitation. airbnb didn't even verify my previous and current tenants who just checkout out who gave me 5 stars and good review. in exchange of aircover is suspension 🤣.
That is a huge problem lately everywhere - guilty until proven inocent.
I think you should always have a backup plan, First open another Airbnb account in your partners name and be listed on other platforms such as BDC there is loads out there, they might not be as good as Airbnb but it's better than nothing, If you dont try other booking platforms you will never know, I think they all work differently in different parts of the world.
For us here in Thailand this year Airbnb has been the best,

Yes we tried and never had a booking from them, I think im still listed on there, I think it's mostly for America
