I want to meet guest who will be on my property long term.

I want to meet guest who will be on my property long term.

I cannot figure out how in the world to send you an email within the Airbnb app. Beyond frustrated. So I could use some help with that.

Most importantly, I have a guest who is wanting to rent long term. I want to rent to them but I want to meet them ahead of time as they will be living on my property where I live part time. I’ve tried to arrange a meeting but the app keeps blocking any attempt at giving a phone number to set up a meeting.

This is concerning to me. Airbnb then sent me a request or question about whether the potential guest is trying to book outside of the app as if we are doing something wrong. That I don’t appreciate either. If you had someone living on your property long term, wouldn’t you want to meet them ahead of time? Is this an option or not?

yes, it is forbidden to share the exact address or phone numbers or email addresses with prospecitve guests BEFORE booking.  It is logical - if we could do that then none of us would need Airbnb and they would lose their service fee.

You can talk via Airbnb messages as long as you need to decide, but maybe it would be wise to let him book for some shorter period (like a week) where both of you can know each other and if you are both satisfied then he can book long term.  You are right to be concern about it because after 28 nights your guest gets tenancy rights and if he is a troublemaker you could have serious problems to evict him.
