Greetings Host.  I recently experienced a guest that left my home less than favorable.  In addition the guest took the garage remote and put a padlock on the gate entrance to access the front door.  The cleaners had a hard time entering the home.  There was a list of things that had to be replaced and air bnb did not resolve any payment for the added expenses.  Yes I called the day of check out and before the next guest checked in.  I am hoping that Air Bnb reads the discussion boards and truly considers ideas.  My current guest were not able to check in on time and I expensed treats to them for their understanding.  I wanted to leave a horrible review which this guest had a zero rating prior to booking.  I felt fearful of my current guest and safety due to the missing garage remote (yes we reprogrammed).  My issue is with REVIEWS...I honestly feel that there should be host privilege messages.  I urge Air bnb to allow host to leave negative reviews that is host to host only and to only post general guest review on the guests page if they leave a review.  This will ensure the safety of our property and future or current guest.  If Air BNB would allow Superhost to see less than favorable reviews would help us host immensley.

The experience mentioned above has made me skeptical in accepting zero rated guest.  Not to mention the vetting process by Air BNB.  Host beware and familiarize yourself with the "host gurantee" policy.

@Qiana2  " If Air BNB would allow Superhost to see less than favorable reviews would help us host immensley."

All hosts can see the reviews you leave for guests. If you fail to leave a review for a bad guest, you have failed to warn other hosts, and they will likely have the same experience that you had with this guest.

I can understand your suggestion that there be a place where hosts can post reviews that only other hosts can see, but since that feature doesn't exist, please leave honest reviews for your guests (and ultimately, for the benefit of other hosts), rather than shying away from submitting a less-than-good review.

Thank you for responding.  It was my intent to leave an honest review regarding the condition of the home.  Air bnb claimed that they verified her.  She claimed to live in the state of CO and her phone number was a local Las Vegas number.  Due to her drug use is why I did not leave a review because my current guest is in the home for more than a month.  I did not want to compromise their safety.  I did advise Air bnb of this in addition to the excess of items she left behind ie tv, vanity mirror, and slew of auto supply/oil(spill in the garage).  It was a mess.  Luckily the guest checking in is also a host and she was very understanding and empathic to the situation.
