Same day reservation refund problem

I was looking somewhere to stay and booked reservation for the night. Unfortunately I acted reckless and careless and booked the wrong place.

I've noticed it immediately and informed the host about it. He said I can cancell it. But what he say was a literal scam. I thought I could take my refund. I've contacted with the community support team but they said as long as the host doesn't confirm the refund I can't take it. Obviously the host was a cunning fox and didn't confirm it. Just to be clear I want to mention that the host didn't take any damage because of my miss booking since I cancelled it immediately. 

 

I'm highly frustrated that Airbnb doesn't protects user's right and now I don't even have a right to report him, since that is not even an option on the report section.

 

Anyway host's name was ** please stay away from him if you ever visit Ankara.
