Spanish guest ID requiremnets

Is it required for hosts in Spain to request  picture ID of all guests staying at their property by means of emailing them to the host?

@Gus2179 there is a requirement in Spain to register all guests. If the property is self check in then I guess this has to be done remotely.

Many countries in Europe require visitor ID for guests as a security measure so it's always good to check when travelling about any visitor requirements.

Spain requires accommodation provides to take copies of your passport and share with local police
