If this is a long term stay, you can uphold your long term cancellation policy. Politely reiterate to the guest that the rate he booked has been discounted and that you will uphold you cancellation policy should he/she proceed with the cancellation. Script for reference:
"I just wanted to remind you that the rate you booked for your stay has already been discounted for a longer-term reservation. If you choose to cancel the reservation early, the cancellation policy will still apply as agreed upon at the time of booking.
I understand that plans can change, and I want to be as fair as possible, but the discounted rate was set with the full length of stay in mind.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out!"
If no issue arise during the reservation, even if they tried to contact Airbnb - they will follow the cancellation policy set. You may also check the long term cancellation policy here:

However if there's issue raise during the reservation, guest and Airbnb might leverage on that and guest can get a refund based on Airbnb policy:
