Good evening,
i have a host that arrived tonight for tonight and tonight of all nights, i have a major boiler problem which means i don’t have hot water at this moment.
i was wondering if anybody here has experience in taking a over a host from another host in a similar situation. This is urgent please.

If you know you're not going to be able to fix the boiler in a timely manner you can contact Airbnb and provide proof of this. Then you can cancel under extenuating circumstances.
you can help the guests by doing search on Airbnb and finding similar alternatives properties which are available so you can share links to these . You could also reach out to these hosts to let them know about the circumstances.
Many thanks for your feedback Helen. I have contacted Airbnb and told them about the issue and I have contacted a couple of hosts last night. I will speak with my guest this am and hopefully sort her out today. Many thanks again for your quick feedback

5. Show Goodwill: A small gesture, like a partial refund or a future stay voucher, can really show your guest that you care and are trying to make things right.
