We have been staying in a home since Jan 7. Many days during the stay the town water stops running - usually for about 2-3 hours, once it was off for 12 hours.
This week, we have not had running water for four full days (today is day five). Our host has not been in contact to offer any assistance, I’m sure because this is not affecting her property exclusively. Other Airbnb hosts have provided guests with water but we have been going out of our way to pick up water from the township ourselves.
Am I entitled to request a partial refund and should I advise the host before I make the formal request?

Good morning @Erin6468,
As a Host myself, I would appreciate the opportunity to 'make things right' for my guests.
I recommend calling your Host immediately (as I would consider this situation as an emergency) and also send him/her a message confirming your conversation via Airbnb message.
If the Host fails to respond, I would call Airbnb and ask for assistance. This way if nothing is resolved within a few hours you would have good reason to request to be relocated to a property that is equipped with water.
Good luck!

Hi @Erin6468
Great advice from @Deb216 here and it mirrors the advice in this article. Please read the article as it has some great advice on how to deal with this situation, including what will help Airbnb should you not be able to resolve things with the host.
Hopefully you'll be able to work with the host to sort things out - please let us know how you get on.
Thank you @Deb216 for helping out!
