Hello everyone 😊,
I hope your week is going smoothly.
I would like to discuss the way you choose to communicate with your guests.
Using the Airbnb platform to exchange messages offers advantages in terms of security and record-keeping.
On the other hand, texting allows for responsiveness and a sense of connection that can strengthen the relationship with your guests. Phone calls, meanwhile, enable direct and personal interaction, though some guests might prefer to avoid verbal conversations, especially in an international context.
What’s your preferred method of communicating with your guests: through Airbnb, by text, by phone, or perhaps by email?
Wishing you a great day,
Elisa 🌻

I also generally prefer the ABB app so there is a track of the convo. However, once people get into town and are out and about, often it's easier for them to use sms or whatsapp. However, I don't do this with everyone, just guests who seem to be more trustworthy. Sometimes I need to use email to send visa letters.
I prefer to keep all communication through Airbnb's platform. This way, I can see if messages have been read, and if it takes a long time for them to be seen, I’ll follow up with an email or SMS, mainly to inform them that I’ve sent messages via Airbnb. 🙂
Hi @Øivind1 😊,
Your approach is amazing!
I am curious, which messaging app do you use, WhatsApp or iMessage?
Warm regards 🌻,

To follow up, if they haven't read the message on the Airbnb app, I send a good old-fashioned SMS via phone or an email.
Hi @Øivind1 😊,
Thank you for letting me know!
I really like old-fashioned SMS via phone or email. Do they usually reply to this?

Whenever I communicate with someone with Airbnb, I wish to have a cup of tea of them.
So refreshing environment while you are on Airbnb.
Hi @Muhammad516 😊,
This is a very great feedback!
I like the idea of having a cup of tea before your host arrives. Do you usually spend a lot of time talking with them before their arrival?

If you wanna growth like Future bookings,Reviews, Profile building better stick to Airbnb
Hi @Akshay104 😊,
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
I’m curious, what’s your perspective on your preferred form of communication with guests?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I would prefer by Airbnb platform or by Airbnb text. Thanks
Victor
Hi @Victor4287 😊,
Thank you for sharing your preference!
Why do you prefer the Airbnb platform or communication via Airbnb messages?
Warm regards 🌻,

I would prefer to communicate with my guests via Airbnb. By keeping the communication in the Airbnb message thread, it makes it easier for a support ambassador to look through in the future.
Hi @Zheng49 😊,
It's nice to hear about your approach!
Are your guests happy to communicate via Airbnb messages, or do they ask for another type of communication?
Warm regards 🌻,

By text. I watch my text messages carefully. Recently AirBnB changed my preference to "Notifications". I have no idea where to find notifications. I changed it back to text. Subsequently I got a message saying that the system noticed that I was set up to receive text AND notifications, so they deleted the text request and left only notifications.
I phoned support to ask what "notifications" were and where to find them on my phone. They were unable to direct me. I asked them to change me to TEXT messages only, which they did. After that I got that same error message saying that they were turning off text messages in favor of notifications. Arghh!!
I have explored my phone. I think what it means are the notifications you can see when you swipe down on Android. They seem to flash for some number of SECONDS on the home screen and then disappear, and I can only see them when I remember to swipe down. But that seems not to be true, since I have not received alerts about recent AirBnB messages in that stream of notifications.
Is there another place I should be looking? Or -- even better -- CAN I PLEASE HAVE ONLY ONLY ONLY TEXTTEXT TEXT????
