Sorry to hear about your misfortune Changelle and yes there is much to learn when we go live and unfortunately sometimes we are not prepared and get caught out. It's amazing how quickly we receive reservations as a newbie on the platform but not always welcome.
So when you cancel on a guest, there is a double whammy - not only are you fined, yes you know about that one but your calendar is also blocked for the nights that you cancelled. Your only option is to book direct or book via another platform I'm afraid.
Instant Book is automatically activated by Airbnb when you create your listing but this is in fact optional and can be turned off if you want to start off more slowly.
