a host disappeares - HELP

we booked a reservation *** / host: Elyas / we tried to call him, his phone is out of function, we payed him over AIRB&B regular over 5'000 CHF, but now he disappears, we can't find him. Can anybody tell us how we can get our money back? Even all the messages

are gone in the AIRB&B Page. Also his apartment is not longer at the AIRB&B Page

@Peter3616  When you book through Airbnb the hosts doesn't receive money .....until the day after you have arrived. So you need to be contacting Customer Service with Airbnb about your reservation . This is not the place to be trying to get your reservation fixed. Call airbnb customer service. Good luck

@Peter3616  It sounds like you may have been the victim of a scam.  If you did the booking and payment over Airbnb's web site, then contact their customer service and tell them what happened, they will be able to  help you get a refund. However, if you paid in some other way, e.g. outside of the web site, even if the host told you to do it, then even if the listing was on Airbnb or appeared to be on Airbnb, there is probably nothing to be done.  You can try calling the police and reporting it as fraud.
