guest wants to keep number of people, but change the people

family of 6. arrived yesterday. renting private room in my home. Have asked if the husband and his parents, can swap with wifes friend and 2 kids, so wives and kids can have a sleepover together. number of people has not changed. no more bedding used (less in fact). is this possible? as the numbers have not changed? i will be coming and going, so not able to supervise, but will be home before night ends.

guest stating its just for tonight. They dont understand any implications, due to the numbers not changing. That makes sense, but i need to know i am protected.

As long as the lead guest who booked is the same, I can't see that it matters @Clair14

the husband made the booking, but will be one of the persons exchanging for the night. his wife will stay with their two kids. and friends for the night

Then they need to work with airbnb to change the booking to the wife's airbnb account. @Clair14

Claire I had a similar situation when two guest where meant to leave halfway between the booking to be replaced by two others, only problem was, only one guest left and two came, so I had an additional guest staying for free.

With the amount of comings and going in your case you won't know your arse from your elbow and any damage done will be blamed on those that left.

Thanks, I’ve arrived home at midnight to see no change in the situation! So after all that stress nothing occurred tonight! I’ll find out tomorrow I guess! They asked to do it tonight (knowing I had originally planned on being elsewhere, but that changed) . Now I will be elsewhere tomorrow night, so maybe they’ll do it when they know I’m not here (which makes me even more uneasy! ) at this stage I don’t believe them to be drinkers or partiers,

so can’t foresee damages as such....but as it’s my

own  home and not a holiday rental, one would expect that they would not assume

it acceptable to invite complete unknowns into my home. I regularly also have back packers live with me , and one of my rules is no bringing strangers Into my house. Thinking I need to bring this into my house rules too.
