@Zohreh2 Your review will publicly post when the host also writes a review or after 14 days whichever comes first. You are notified when the review is public.
If you need to call Air BNB, you would have a phone number on your reservation confirmation, I believe.
I have screenshots of my conversation with Airbnb and all 3 ambassadors stated my review didnt go against policy but cant be posted because the host wanted them removed and once removed, cant repost. Its BS because it was to help the others renting. Im not sure Ill ever stay in an Airbnb if that is the case because i cant trust them.

PS Mine was a superhost, several reviews and all good. However, it was very dirty, she wanted to charge us for extra guests (we did not have) just because we used all of the towels. She had 5 and 4 of us were there a week. We actually WASHED them twice (she didnt have laundry on the property). She had cords acros the doorways because it was a vintage home with only one outlet to a room. (Dangerous) There was no gfi receptricol on the outlet 1 inch from the shower. Several things I could go on about...but worst was how rude and hurtful she was. We rented 3 of 5 homes on a lake and every one of us wanted to leave a review and none were posted.
Thank you for sharing. I, for sure, if they do not post my review, I will never, ever book places with Airbnb. My 14 day is up on Saturday the 22nd of October.
I agree day and I think their policies are all one-sided for the host to post to only good reviews are not reviews somebody to not have us posted I never heard of such a thing I would’ve never booked if I had known that was the fact meanwhile all you see is good reviews so what’s the sense of having reviews in the first place if you’re not really seeing the truth and the condition of the place! Our unit in Hilton head Island wasn’t cheap and the only thing good about the unit was the bed was comfortable but everything else was outdated needed replacement like the furniture no smoke alarm the toaster was both broken so it set off some smoke and the vent over the stove didn’t even work nor the light so what’s the sense of having it the owner is the nearby so they couldn’t fix it there was no beach chairs for the beach that we’re advertise and like you I could go on and on and there was a nice big bug on the stove when we got up one morning too , and the big 4 foot shade was never even attached to the wall and fell on my husband!
This is what they did with my review. They don’t post negative reviews and by that giving a false representation of their properties.

They did the same to us. Just deleted our post. So the reviews on airbnb do not reflect anything. I am not going to use airbnb ever.
@Zohreh2 To be fair, I wrote a not so good review for a place that had only good reviews. My bad review eventually appeared, though, and it is still there. It takes a couple of weeks. So, I don't know about other people, but in my case, the issue has been solved. As long as all reviews, good and bad are shown I may be able to trust the system. 😎
Ah... also, I got to the conclusion that when I see too many good reviews, the reason may be that most people who travel and rent places, normally rent nicer places than what they are accostumed to, so when they are on vacation they are happy with what they get, even if it is not up to other people's standards. Some of us, have pretty high standards, so... sadly for us, it is difficult to find top-notch accomodations, If I may say so. But as long as we get what we have been told and it looks the same as they show in the pictures, I am ok with the place.
After my latest (horrible stay - and had photo documentation of dirty oven, moldy shower curtain, pinholes in sheets, expired fire extinguisher etc and I got kicked out by host on Thanksgiving Day because of my complaints to host), I learned I will only stay with airbnb hosts who have "super host" designation. All other stays were with superhosts and never had an issue. The last stay had mostly great reviews- and I have no idea how....
We had horrible stay with Preferred host . Booked for 9 days, left after 2 .
We left one star review describing room . Air BB never post negative reviews. Only positive. Don’t believe preferred host . They are dishonest company. Never booking with them again.
@Lana1113 I’m sorry to read about your terrible experience. But no one reads the 1000s of reviews written every day before they are published. Your review won’t get published before your host has written one and if they don’t write a review it will get posted automatically when the 14 days review period is over. All reviews written are published. Always.
Hosts can dump negative reviews by delisting the property and then relisting it. This effectively resets the reviews for the location. I posted a negative review for a location in July 2023. The review never appeared. After about six months I checked the listing only to discover that the oldest review was August 2023. When I brought this up with AirBnb they told me that the location listing I had posted the rview to had been deleted. The host had then relisted the location, so hiding the negative review. After looking into it a little deeper, I discovered that the host had delisted and relisted the property at least twice. However, any posted reviews (good or bad) remain on the host's account, so this is the best place to look for all reveiws. Of course a host could, in theory, also delete an account and create a new one.
In my own case, the location had a total of 25 reviews, viewable on the host account, but only seven listed on the location. These seven were mostly positve, giving the location a 4.71 rating. But when you take the other 18 reviews into account the rating drops to 4.5.
I would be very surprised if this is not a common tool used by hosts to keep high ratings and only positive reviews. AirBnB are basically allowing hosts to dump bad reviews as and when they see fit.
@Joe3778 Some hosts do do this I am afraid BUT savvy guests can see that this is happening when the number of reviews owned by the host is way more than the number on their listing. There is a dormitory operator in Paris that deletes their listing regularly but hopefully potential guests do see through their scam.
Deleting and restarting an account would need new phone numbers, new email addressed a new bank account so I suspect this is less likely to happen.
Thank you from all the honest hosts out here for illuminating this scam to hide bad reviews.
