will a cohost (who is not a superhost) hellp me get new reservations?

I have been a host for a few years, but had our condo blocked for the last 7 months, so am not getting any reservations or inquiries.

If I get a cohost or a property manger(who is not a superhost) will it help me get bookings? Or only a cohost who is a supershost will be able to help with that?

thanks

You can hire an Experienced Co Host who has a proven track record so they can optimize your listing. You can also hire an qualified short term rental consultant for a brief time to optimize your listing and help you strategize ways to get higher in search results. If guests don't see the listing, they can't book it.

It's hard to get back momentum when you haven't had reservations in a while. The Algorithm favors recent stays with 5-star reviews. You can lower your price short term to get noticed and move higher in search results as price is one of the major things that affect rank. I suggest you lower your price using custom promotions in the short term. A 20% discount on a custom promotion gets you all 4 benefits that Airbnb offers. This is better than manually lowering your price.

Min Stay

Consider lowering you min stay to 4 nights for a short time so you will appear more often in guest searches. You can turn on Professional Hosting tools and create a Rule Set for 4night stay and only apply to certain dates on the calendar. This will override your 5 night min only for the dates you apply the Rule Set.

I would get professional photos done. High quality photos help you get higher in search results. Add captions to ALL photos.

@Kay2197 Great question! 👍 Yes, getting a co-host or property manager can definitely help increase bookings — even if they’re not a Superhost. The key is how well they manage your listing: quick responses, accurate calendar updates, competitive pricing, and great guest experiences.

A Superhost badge builds trust with guests, but it’s not required to succeed. If you're aiming for it, here are Airbnb’s Superhost requirements:

Complete at least 10 stays in the past year, or 3 reservations that total at least 100 nights
Maintain a 4.8+ average overall rating
Respond to 90% of messages within 24 hours
Keep a cancellation rate under 1% (exceptions allowed for extenuating circumstances)

Superhost status is reviewed every 3 months, so consistency is key.

So yes — a dedicated co-host can absolutely help improve your listing’s performance, even without the badge!
