Hi everyone,
Let me take a second to introduce myself: I’m Laura Chambers, and I lead the team at Airbnb that’s dedicated to helping hosts like you succeed. (You might remember me from the most recent Host Q&A.) I’ve been a fan and engaged user of Airbnb for a long time, but since I officially joined the team here in July, one thing has become even more clear to me: It’s the wonderful community of hosts that makes Airbnb so special.
Within the Airbnb hosting community, we’re particularly appreciative of Superhosts. As 2018 draws to a close, we wanted to do something special to celebrate them. So today, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re kicking off an exciting new event for the first time ever: Superhost Week!
Congratulations to those of you who are Superhosts. It’s such a huge achievement. Airbnb’s community is powered by great hospitality and trust, and you exemplify that spirit and excellence. It should be no surprise that Superhosts earn about 22% more on average*—guests really value your hospitality.
This week will be full of celebrations and recognition. Here’s what Superhosts can expect:
If guests are curious and click to learn more, they’ll go to a brand new web page where we’re showcasing Superhosts. This page will help them better understand the Superhost badge icon on your listing, as a symbol of the amazing hospitality you provide.
I hope you enjoy this week of celebration! We’re committed to continually improving the Superhost program, and some changes are already underway. For example, we just introduced new criteria to ensure that hosts who host longer stays have fair access to becoming Superhosts. I’d love to hear your ideas for what we can do to make the program even better. Let me know your suggestions in the comments below. I’ll be checking in throughout the week.
Congratulations again to those of you who are Superhosts. Thanks for everything you do— and happy hosting!
Laura

What are your favorite notes from your guests?
@Raoul-and-Julian0 The reason the assessment isn't available until January 14th is because hosts and guests have 14 days after check-out to leave a review. So say you had a guest who checked out on Dec 31- the review the guest leaves might not come in until January 14th, so couldn't be counted toward your stats for Jan.1, 2018- Dec.31, 2018
Pay no attention to the price tips, almost no hosts do- they're absurdly low. The lower the price, the more guests are likely to book. The company doesn't care if hosts are making a reasonable profit, they are concerned with collecting guest fees, therefore the low-ball price tips.
Dear @Sarah0, thanks so much for your responses and advice. Much appreciated!

Hello @Raoul-and-Julian0,
Lovely to meet you.
It is great to see @Sarah977 has provided more information on why the timeline, for confirmation around receiving Superhost status, is as it is. We are expecting the process to be complete by Jan 15th (if not earlier), so not long to wait now.
Wishing you all the very best with becoming a Superhost. I have my fingers crossed. 🙂
Thanks,
Lizzie

Hi @Lizzie, Thanks for your message.
My review is already in and is just great, so I guess your system is automated.
I do not have any contact details in case I need support wth something. It was my husband who signed up originally and he may have deleted any early set-up emails from you with such info. Is it possible for some details to be sent to me, as the primary manager of our listings?
Hoping you can help,
Best, and Happy New Year!
Raoul
Hello @Raoul-and-Julian0,
Aw, well you are all set to hear, now that you have your review, I believe the system has to wait for the full time period before updating everything.
In term of contacting our Support Team, here is a useful Community Guide, which provides details on the different ways to contact our team. You can also, visit Airbnb's Contact page.
I hope this helps. Speak with you again soon.
Thanks,
Lizzie

Hello Laura. I sent you a few private messages and would apreaciate a reply as soon as you have the time. Thanks carlo
Has anyone gotten their free copies of AirbnbMag? I've only received two issues and the last one was from a year ago...
Please advise if possible--thanks so much!
Can somebody please help with Airbnb Mag?
I have been getting charged for the subscription. I have send numorous emails and no replys since December on this matter. I also gave a called to Airbnb to help me with this matter and they gave me email and said it was out of there hands. Very disappointed in getting resolve. I would love some support in resolving this matter asap.
Thankk you for taking the time.
Free copies? I've been a Superhost for 9 months and never received a magazine.
Hello @Adam625, @E27, @Dawn172 and @Valerie192,
I hope you are well. It's great to hear you are looking forward to receiving the Airbnb Magazine.
The next edition is due to be send out around January/February time, so you should hear more information from Airbnb on this soon.
To add, in order to receive the magazine, you do need to have a mailing address filled out in your Airbnb profile, so if you can please double-check you have this all up-to-date.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Lizzie

Hi @Lizzie thanks for the tip!! Looks like I didn't have my address filled out so just corrected that.
Hi @Lizzie,
I've just been made a Superhost! Woo hoo!
Do I get a magazine too? Can the delivery address be different to my listing address?
Can you help me find where this is?
Cheers,
Raoul

Lol! Airbnb magazine? I'm an 18 time "Superhost" with hundreds of 5 star reviews, thousands of happy and satisfied Airbnb guests through my doors, and a faultless hosting record, yet I can't get a bloody booking to save my life, let alone an Airbnb mag! One of my two listings hasn't had a single booking since last August.
Laura states

Well, if that's the truth, @Laura_C, perhaps you could explain to me why I - and almost every other long-term superhost I know - are getting no bookings through Airbnb? Or could Airbnb possibly be lying to us, yet again?
PS Please don't bother with the "seasonal" or "low demand" excuses either - they don't wash anymore. For example, Ed Sheeran played 3 separate gigs in the Phoenix Park, literally right behind both my listings last summer. (peak season) So close, in fact, that if you threw a stone from my balcony, you could probably have done Ed a fair bit of damage. Yet I didn't receive a single inquiry for even one of his gigs. The Pope said Mass in the Park, and I was still empty. Same for the Iron Man contest, Bloom Garden Festival, and all the running events in the park that bring thousands of visitors - but not a sausage for me.
Really looking forward to your suggestions/explanations as to how that could possibly be....
@Susan17 - I have posted in another thread how my bookings are incredibly low as well. And I live right next to Los Angeles International Airport in a very central area and we don't have seasonal tourism. This time last year I had most of Jan and Feb full and right now I have only ONE booking over the next 6 weeks. I am at a loss - I don't know what to do other than keep being a great host but hard to do when you have no guests.
It's a headscratcher for me too...could just be increased competition but discouraging nonetheless.
