Is anyone having issues with the custom trip length being ignored by the Air BnB calendar.
I may set it for a 3 night minimum but ifa guest is booking the calendar shows a 6 night minimum etc. Endless example like this for me.
I am unable to change it and Air BnB have been on the back end of my listing as I gave them access and they cannot change it.
If a guest is looking for a 2 night stay they never see our home as I am locked in for 6 days, which is not helpful.
It all worked perfectly prior to the new upgrade.
Now it is impacting my summer bookings as even though it looks like it has changed on the custom trip length on my admin page, it shows a completely different minimum night setting when guests actually go in and try to book.
I am no longer able to tweak my minimum night stays as they get 'locked' by Air BnB.
Who has the same issues?
More importantly, has anyone had this issue sorted?
I made contact for help in May. Told it was given urgent priority. Have heard nothing and my issues just continue with future bookings.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Nicky221 !
Yes…looks like the only way to override previous settings and create new ones (for now) is to turn on Professional Tools and create a Rule Set to apply in the Multi-Calendar Display (lots of other posts about this issue ).
Are you using the multicalendar and "Rule Sets" for custom calendar settings? If not, you'll have to turn on Professional Tools in your Account and then use a Rule Set to change the settings for these dates. Pro tools was previously only available for hosts with 6 or more properties. However ALL hosts can use Pro Tools now. There is a learning curve for Rule Sets and I haven't tried to appy more than one Rule Set to specific dates. Any Rule Set you apply will override your primary calendar settings for the dates you choose. Use caution, as it's easy to get the Rule Sets mixed up if you're using a lot of them. I suggest try creating one and apply to a few dates far out in your calendar. Then find your listing as a guest and try to book the dates you changed with a Rule Set and see if it works. I would especially be careful with discounts (I only use a few). I have heard some hosts say the system applied the Rule Set discount AND the primary listing discount. I have not seen that myself, but just a caution.

Your Calendar will now appear as a "strip". You can toggle back to the standard view calendar any time by clicking the listing name. To return to the multi-calendar, click "Calendar" at the top of the page.
Multicalendar View
The colors indicate a Rule Set has been applied to the dates selected.
Choose the dates you want to apply the Rule set by swiping/select. Go to the right side panel and scroll down until you see Rule Sets. Click the drop down and choose the one you want. Hit save. Whatever color you assigned to the Rule Set will appear in the multicalendar for the dates you chose. Again, I would review any Rule Sets you apply as a guest and make sure they are working correctly.
Hope this helps! Let us know if it works for you!
Thank you.
Yes she did.
All fixed!

THANK YOU so much!
I so appreciate you caring enough to send me all this.
I was about to try this and then Air BnB support team got back to me and they did it using the same way you outlined and it worked. Yahooo!
Thanks again for your kindness.
Yaaaay! Glad it worked!
Hi Joan!
I just turned on pro tips but have a question. Our default setting is a 7 day minimum with check in and check out day as Saturday only. (We actually turned this off for a couple of minutes before we knew about pro tools so that we could make an exception for someone wanting to check in and out for Wednesday). I followed your steps and made a rule with a 5 day minimum and no restriction for checkin/checkout days. I highlighted the Wednesday of the above persons checkout and dragged it for about 20 days and enforced the rule. However, when I go to the guest calendar it is still showing Wednesday Through Friday as blocked off because it needs to follow the default rule of check in/out on Saturday only. Also, even though it says 5 night minimum stay (starting the 1st Saturday after the Wednesday check out due to the issues I described above) it wont let me check out on any other day than Saturday. Basically in summary it doesn't seem like the lax check in/out policy that I did for the custom rule is flowing through. Any advice is appreciated.
Hmmm....It would really help if I could see a screen shot of the Rule Set you created?
I believe if you create the Rule Set using BOTH min stay AND check-in, check out restrictions on one Rule Set, it should override your default settings. You would need both data points in the Rule Set for it to work (I think). Can't just have 5nite min stay without adding adding check-in check-out restrictions also if you want it to override your default Sat only check-in, check-out. Another Host might also chime in here with a better solution.
Can you send a screen shot of the Rule you created to override your default of 7day min stay, Sat checkin, check out only?
Its not very user friendly to upload pictures. Not sure if it's because I'm level 1. Here is the problem. For the 5 day minimum stay I want to make it so the there is no restriction on check in/out days. However, I think if dont select any restrictions on check in or check out dates then it just defaults to the main check in/out dates which is a problem.
So this rule below still defaults to my master check in/out restriction which is Saturday/Saturday only. It says 5 day minimum when I try to book but when I pick any checkout date that is not Saturday it says "host not available"
