New registration law in nyc

Will airbnb crash with this new registration law in effect . Are we getting fines by not registering . Should we find another way of renting our units?

Can't see why it hasn't crashed in the many other locations which have registrations @Jose6896

Airbnb will most likely cancel those reservations made after  September 2023.

I think this is so unfair but I'm hoping they're using this as a process of elimination. Maybe once there are a limited amount of listings they will start approving applications. At this moment though, I honestly don't believe they’re even looking at any of the applications and will not until there is some sort of pressure applied.

A host on another NYC thread here reported they had received their license @Lulu119

Also!!!! And I’m not sure most even know this Information, in NY. if a person lives in your apt/home

for thirty plus days. They have squatters rights!!!! Which means legally they can refuse to leave. No one is talking about this. It’s a real problem to come to many host.
