Hi , we are thinking of listing a cabin that will be off grid , no power or water . No shower . Would have water in jerry can , cooking under shelter on gas , compost or similar toilet. Would appreciate any experiences on this .
I stayed in an off-grid cabin in Norway that had no electricity or running water. It was powered by solar energy for heating, and we cooked using a grill. It was a memorable experience. Make sure your listing descriptions are clear, things to do (for us we went hiking) and offer your potential guests a unique and unforgettable stay. Best of luck!
Hi @Andrew3478 , It's nice to hear you're looking forward to prep up your listing for Airbnb. Experienced Host members Shelly and Patricia have shared very thoughtful and sound advice. It's always a good idea to list out the available amenities clearly for guests as well as letting them know through your listing descriptions what isn't available.
I think your listing could do well on Airbnb. The important thing is just to make sure guests know exactly what to expect. If guests are unsure about anything and expected some luxuries that you didn't offer, you're at risk of bad reviews. If you attract guests who find the place to be exactly what they thought they had booked, your reviews will be good. Plenty of photos will also go a long way to aid your written description.
